Former Judge Rachel Pack on “Chicago Counterpoint” Tonight on CAN-TV
Chicago, IL — Jan. 12, 2012 — Influential attorney and author Jeffery M. Leving (http://dadsrights.com) will feature leading matrimonial attorney Rachel Pack, as his expert legal guest tonight on the “Chicago Counterpoint” show on CAN-TV: Channel 21 at 8:00 PM.
Ms. Pack has a depth of experience that is unique and unparalleled as she served as Deputy Magistrate for the Second Judicial Circuit of Alaska. As a presiding judicial officer, Magistrate Pack presided over emergency domestic violence protective orders, search and arrest warrants, conducted felony first appearances and misdemeanor arraignments, set bail, conditions of release and probation, and accepted guilty and no contest pleas in misdemeanor cases in Alaska. In this vital community role, Ms. Pack supported her fellow judicial officers and local law enforcement agencies on a bi-weekly basis to address community concerns, such as mental health awareness, domestic violence, and the prevalence of underage drinking and fetal alcohol syndrome.
“Keeping children safe should be everybody’s business and I joined Leving’s legal team because the passion, courage and integrity of their attorneys have positively influenced the family courts in Illinois and throughout the United States. Now more courts consider the best interest of the children when dealing with highly emotional and combative custody situations. We are also shaping legislation that supports equal access to justice and due process. I am happy to answer any legal questions the Chicago viewing community has tonight,” said Rachel Pack.
“Chicago Counterpoint” Host – Atty. Jeffery Leving has co-authored the new Illinois Right to DNA Testing Notice and Unlawful Visitation and Parenting Time Interference Laws, as well as the Joint Custody Law.
