Leading Matrimonial Attorneys James Hagler and Michael Benz Discuss Legal Victories on “Chicago Counterpoint”
Chicago, IL — August 9, 2011 — Leading matrimonial attorney James Hagler from the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. will be the host of “Chicago Counterpoint” next Thursday, August 11. He will present attorney Michael Benz as his legal expert guest on CAN-TV (Ch.21) at 7:30 PM. Atty. Benz will discuss how he and his colleague Andrey Filipowicz recently reunited a Chicago father with his son and daughter, ages 2 and 4, who were allegedly removed from Illinois by their mother in early April last year and held in the Pine Ridge Sioux Reservation in South Dakota.
Atty. Benz has practiced matrimonial law for more than 15 years. He has successfully defended fathers falsely accused of abuse and he recently achieved a critical change of custody in favor of a father he represented after a hotly contested hearing where the mother abandoned the children, moved to California and later tried to remove one of the children back to California by force.
Atty. Hagler handles sophisticated cases involving complex financial matters and has represented many high-profile clients including professional athletes, recording artists and public officials. He has also helped reunite struggling fathers with their children from Poland, Argentina, and Mexico and was tapped as a resource by State Department officials to provide strategic recommendations on enforcement of the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction cases.
“The Fatherhood Educational Institute (http://fatherhood-edu.org) covers the educational needs of fathers and promotes positive involvement in their families and communities. This organization is good for our society, and I am very pleased to be a part of it,” said attorney James Hagler, who serves on the Board of Directors of the Fatherhood Educational Institute.
